Francis Gray with a limit catch of three brown's and one Rainbow also missed a few .but had a great nights sport
27th Sept

Club Champion Jim Twaddle had a terrific nights fishing Caught and released 5 browns and 2 Rainbows and had lots more offers, using a small lure and fishing about three feet down medium retrieve. The water Clarity was good and the fish were spread all over the loch even in the shallower water and were in excellent condition

John Stevenson and Jim Daly Braved the bad weather and were rewarded with a limit catch each., using a intermediate line with a Antermony lure and a rainbow warrior fished about 4 feet down in the middle of the loch had excellent sport, it look's like the water condition has greatly improved and should result in better catches
11th sept
Editor Robert Malcolm Having only caught one brownie this week decided to try a day at the River endrick although conditions were poor it couldn't be any worse than the Loch or so he thought ? What a surprise see Tackle Gab

Sept 2nd Autumn Competition the same conditions as the previous week with very few fish showing . the competition was won by Eddie Donnelly with one Rainbow and the only other fish caught was also a rainbow caught by John Stevenson to take 2nd place, for pictures see the photo gallery


30 th Aug
        The last week saw a return of the algae and the warmer water, the result was very few fish caught. Only the odd fish seen rising ,boat and bank fishing equally as bad . The Fish have probably moved into deeper water and will stay there till conditions change, hopefully soon

Gary Miller had a great evenings fishing finished up with his 4-Fish limit and returned quite a few more

Sunday 5th Aug . Brown Cup Competition 2007 Club Champion Jim Twaddle retains his title for another year with a limit Catch of 8 Fish for 7lb 14 oz. For Competition Results See Photo Gallery
3rd Aug. water has now dropped in temp and is now more to the brown trout's liking fish are now inshore and rising more freely ,and the clarity of the water has improved

Things are starting to look up, fishing is now on the upturn after a couple of weeks with very few fish caught mainly because people on holiday and not so good weather also algae on the loch didn't help matters. the water is starting to clear and the fish are being caught on intermediate and floating lines. bibio, cormorant, antermony lure,and damsel patterns are all taking fish also rainbows are being caught on fritz patterns.
